Lecco April 27,11 "Elana"??

So Pretty Much the Best Mother in the Whole World!

Man you write so much I cant even keep up with all of it but... I just love all of the information that you give me on how the family is doing! Ok so I did receive the Easter boxes and let me just tell you... Freaking awesome! Seriously no joke I was so stoked when I saw the boxes! I ran to the door and was just like no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I waited to open them until night time because we had more finding work to do and I didn't want to be distracted but when I opened them up that night let me just tell you I was and am pretty much in HEAVEN. Seriously thank you so much mom for those boxes they were so.. what's the word.. oh yeah PERFECT!!! It had everything I needed! So for this Easter nothing really special happened but we did have a speaker come in who was from Milano 3 and give a special lesson about the Plan of Salvation, it was very strong and solid! And we had a investigator at church to hear it, her name is Sara she is cool we should be getting a baptismal date from her fairly quick! We got invited to eat at the ward mission leaders house but it was kind of bummer we had to tell him no because we had promised a less active we would come to visit them so we had to make the sacrifice to go see them! It was a little tough not eating with a big family but I know we will be blessed for it! So another story we were on our way home from a long bike ride appointment when I was riding and all of the sudden BOOM!! My bike tire had popped and we were still pretty far from home so we had to walk our bikes home! We fixed the bikes and it was a new day and we were on our way to see that person again when all of the sudden BOOM! Again my bike tire had popped once again so luckily we were by Bennet and we bought some bike tire stuff and fixed it. So another cool story we were doing what we call a scambi its where we switch companions in the district and I was working with Anziano Giove. We didn't have any luck all day we were talking to everyone but nothing. So we were riding home and it was about 8:30 pm and I turned and looked at Anziano Giove and said, "do you think we can give one Book of Mormon out" you know kind of testing him. And he said "oh yes we can"! So we were riding and Anziano Giove felt prompted to stop and do "casa"... We knocked on this one guys door but he said he was not interested and finally the second door we knocked on this girl came to the door and said, "oh my goodness you guys are mormons". my friend is mormon and I have been wanting to hear what you guys believe in"!. So sure enough we did give out a Book of Mormon because we had the faith to do so!! I know when we don't have anything we can just turn to faith! Faith will get us anywhere in life. The same day my tire popped we had 4 appointments set up. But all of them fell through and that is very tough on a missionary but its ok because I know that something amazing is going to happen soon... I can just feel it!

So about Ruby it honestly makes me a little teary to think about putting her down. Man I loved that dog so much and she is truly an amazing dog! That is so sad! But I do love those pictures that you have sent me they are seriously awesome and that runt seems like a very great looking dog! Hmm so about a name i'm trying to think of one. Elena is a cool name. I like that name a lot. So yeah the interview with President Wolfgramm went very well we basically just talked about how my companion is doing and also we did the start chart a little bit. I will have to explain the start chart a little bit to you later because I don't have that much time because I still need to write Pres Wolfgramm. Man I just cant express my gratitude on how thankful I am for you and dad... seriously you both are the biggest blessings in the world!! I love you guys so much and I have a nice letter coming to you for Mothers Day! I will also send those CDS today so you will probably get them in about a week or so. Ok so yeah I guess we call home at the church but i'm not entirely sure! I will know for sure the details next week on what we are doing and I will write them to you next p-day! Also yeah we received a letter from Pres Wolfgramm saying that we are aloud to skype so that is a good thing I will let you know on those details next week for sure! Well Mom I love you so much and again i'm so thankful for a wonderful mom who supports me in everything I do! I Really have been blessed with loving parents!! LOTS AND LOTS OF LOVE,
Love, Anziano Scheurn!
P.S. I look at those hearts you have given me everyday, and I carry them in my backpack constantly!! Thank you for the prayers as well, I knowit is helping me!! LOTS of LOVE!!
P.S.S. Oh and I will just write a quick note real fast as well.... I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and another thing tell Walker, Anziano Scheurn Says "GET UM" Ha Walker is a stud!!!!

Pops!

Ok so the Easter was great, had to make a couple of sacrifices that I actually put in moms email so it was a good one but I know that the Savior had to make a HUGE sacrifice for us so it was the least I could do to help out a less active! The weather here has been windy as well we have had some rain and some thunder not really the ideal missionary work weather but hey I got to do what I got to do! I gave mom the name Elena for a name for the puppy, but I just don't know its hard to think of a great name. I think you should just come up with a awesome cowboy name! That's how we do in AZ we keep it Cowboy! Umm ok President said we are allowed to do skype as well! So i'm going to give everything set in stone this next Wednesday! Yeah the language is coming very very well... I mean I still need to work on it but I just try to perfect what I need to work on everyday! It just helps when you speak to people on the street about the Restored Gospel I mean what better way to practice then that! Well how is Sorella doing and also how is work! I love you so much dad and am so thankful for everything you do for me LOTS and LOTS of LOVE,
Love Anziano Scheurn
OH and who won the NBA... I'M DYING TO KNOW!!!!

Lecco #9 April 20. 11

Mom!!

Man you can always count on a fantastic and the best missionary mom every to write a super duper long letter! I love it and I love dads letters too!! Ok so not much has happened still getting used to the whole new companion thing but hey everything is going to be alright because i'm Azniano Scheurn and I have our Father in heaven with me to help!! So before we go into the letter let me say I did not delete the pictures!! WOOOH HOOO !!! So I will resend them again as soon as I can!! Im so happy for your guys anniversary!! My parents are freaking amazing!! Man I love Ruby a lot and its kind of a bummer, hope she does well!! I saw the pictures of the puppies they are pretty adorable and a great name for a girl in Italian is, Giuseppina Bella!! Sorella is gorgeous she looks like a solid horse! Tell dad that if he would like me to teach him a couple things about roping I can. I'm always here to teach! That is pretty sweet you got dad a new saddle too! I bet he loved that as well! Ok lets take it easy with that ice machine ok!? That is awesome!! I'm sure you and the grandkids will love that! Keep it working for me when I get home so I can use it!! Yeah that Atonement lesson is so solid!! I have used it a lot more since I wrote you!!! Man Brother Ray is a absolute stud!! I miss him so much, he is so solid!! That man will do anything to help out the church or sacrament meeting and his wife is amazing as well!! They are so perfect!! How is Noah doing in football! It is so great to here about the grandkids its awesome!! So about Walker, I love him so much and Joe and Blake and Posey they are all awesome and im so thankful for there support! Walker did tell me a little about his ragazza so that is pretty sweet!! I really do hope that everything works out with him and her! That story about Walker and the truck is fechin hilarious!!! I can just see Walker saying that and just pulling up in his truck, that is so funny!!! He is such a good kid!! Yeah in Italy everyone does close around noon to go and eat lunch. Lunches here are huge! But dinners are very small its so different then the United States! Yeah you definitely need to keep me posted on the foreign exchange student I can speak Italian with that student if you get one!! So my interview with president went very well! He is awesome! I love him a lot and Sorella Wolfgramm is amazing as well! Ok so there have been a couple of funny stories! One was we were walking down the street doing street contacting when there was a Catholic Priest who walked by and started to make fun of us it was pretty funny!! Another was we ate at a nigerians house and he fed us very very very spicy food and we just were not feeling good after it was awesome!! So every transfer we go on scambi (exchanges) with the zone leaders and our zone leaders are Anziano Curtis and Peterson. Anziano Peterson goes home this transfer, man he is the biggest stud ever, I love him, he has taught me so much its insane!! He gave me a little demonstration with faith and I thought I could share it with you. In order to do this work we obviously need to have faith that is a given!! He told me that he likes to look at it like this! God is in heaven and he has a map in front of him which is the world!! He looks at the map and every time he sees a light turn on that means that someone has faith and he will come down and work miracles! In the United states there are a lot of lights turned on! But in Italy not so much! But I know that when I wake up I need to have that faith so our Heavenly Father says.... ok Anziano Scheurn has faith lets go help him! I loved this analogy so much that it is just changing the way I look at life and I love it! Im constantly caring a book of mormon in my hand to share with people because I know I have that faith that I WILL give it out and it is awesome! Dobbiamo Avere Fede di Fare Queste Cose! (we must have faith to do these things)
I Love Anziano Anderson a ton! He is a stud!!! He will do amazing things in Verona!
I also Love Anziano Mangrum the A.P.... man that kid is the biggest stud!!! He just oozes with faith! Amazing missionary!
Well mom I love you so much and I love this work! I'm growing to love it more and more each day! I know that this work is going to start just going crazy because I know that the FAITH of Anziano Scheurn is going to just sky rocket!!! I hope you are doing well I pray for you and dad constantly, to make sure you guys are doing well! Man we need this gospel so much its crazy!! My language is coming a long amazingly well. I know it is because of your guys faith and prayers in me!!

I know this church is true and that Joseph Smith restored the true gospel on the earth!
Io Amo questa Chiesa! (I love this church.) E molto importante nella mia Vita! (It is very important in my life.) Dobbiamo Seguire il nostro Salvatore Gesu Cristo! (We ought to follow our Savior Jesus Christ.) Io so Le famiglie loro posono esere inseme per Eternita! ( I know families can be together for eternity.) Questa Lavoro Sto Facendo E la Vero Lavoro della Nostro Salvatore Gesu Cristo! (This work I am doing is the true work of our Saviour Jesus Christ.)
Lots of love and I told you in my last email on what I can do for calling on the Mothers day so reread that if you will and respond on what you guys would like me to do! I LOVE LOVE LOVE you all!

Love Anziano Scheurn

Still In Lecco, #7

MOM! So first off, sorry I did not get a letter off yesterday to you because.... It was a little chaotic! The freaking website for LDS mail was down! I mean, What!! ha-ha , but its ok because now I get to write today so its all good. Ok so first I will tell you about my companion. His name is Anziano Aranda and he is a pretty cool kid. I mean when he teaches the spirit is so strong its insane. For example yesterday we contacted a referral and the girls name was Sarah. After we had taught this lesson about the restoration I was honestly 100 percent positive that this women is going to be baptized. The only way to explain it is the spirit was just punching everyone in the face. That is how strong it was! He was born in Peru but has lived in Rome since he was about 9 so he is pretty much a native. Like Anziano Anderson said, I really am picking up the language really well because of him. It is awesome! I mean its a given we don't have as much fun as me and Anziano Anderson had doing "Casa". Because man, me and Anziano Anderson would just bust up laughing for no reason it was truly hilarious! But I do like Anziano Aranda! He is a good kid. Its a given, its always going to be different when you receive a new companion because every missionary teaches differently but we are already getting used to each other! Its going good with us! Hmm ok so about one of our baptismal dates. The one with Roberto. Its stressful he works a lot!!! But he comes to church any time he does not have to work which is very good! He has a girlfriend who is a member and her name is Lucemilla. He attends our church because of her but he really lives in a nearby area called Muggio. This isnt our area so we are not allowed to go teach him! Luckily my boy Anziano Bushman is serving in Muggio and our Zone Leaders told us to tag team with them. So Anziano Bushman will teach Roberto as well. But the bad thing is Roberto dropped his baptismal date!!!! Not cool Man! But we have an appointment with him soon so hopefully we can get him back in the swing of things! He things he doesn't know enough about the church but, I know he has a rock solid testimony! We are going to quiz him with the baptism questions and see if he knows them so that way we will have proof that he is ready for another baptism date! Another brightside to Anziano Aranda is an amazing cook! Wow he cooks so amazing! Its Buono!!! Hmmm so what else I run every morning and do my push ups and sit ups as well! Tomorrow we have interviews with President Wolfgramm. Im looking forward to talking with him about what has gone on in the mission so far! He is awesome!! I love President Wolfgramm and Sorella Wolfgramm a lot!! Sorella Wolfgramm is the best missionary / president mama ever! She really looks after her missionaries but of course she is no where near close to you!! You are the best!!! So those are some stories that have been going on! Doing lots and lots of "Casa" and finding work but nothing yet! We will get something going here, I can just feel it coming! Another thing our members in our ward are seriously awesome!!! They are all studs!! Love them all! I gave my testimony again in sacrament meeting this last Sunday, It was awesome!! So how is everything going at home! How is dad doing with roping? How are the nephews and Nieces? I hope they are all doing well! Ashley L. wrote me actually and she told me when I come home for summer, I should go work up in Alaska for them! I thought hmmm.... that would be kind of Neeeto! But I have no idea what I want to do yet! Vedremmo!!! (We will see!) OK so about the foreign exchange student! I think it would be pretty dope if you received a foreign exchange student but.... I just wish I was there when you did!! But hey at least you would learn italian and such!! That would be pretty sweet!! Italians are awesome! But very stubborn!! ha-ha its takes some time to work with them. Not all of them but most of them! Ok so about Mothers Day! Dad wanted to know if I could just skype you guys at my internet place. I think its going to be ok! Next Wednesday I will confirm it, but just be expecting to get on skype at about 7 or 8 in the morning your time on Sunday! I will give you more details next week on p-day! So this work is tough right now but mom you don't need to worry about me!!! I mean come on I have the Lord on my side, like who else would I need or want more! Like on my football team for instance. NO one!! Like I know i'm so blessed its crazy!!! Its nuts to think that out of the group above me in the MTC, and my group in the MTC, and the group below me in The MTC .... NONE of them went to the Como Zone except for me! That is inane! Out of about 35 Missionaries I am the only one in the Como Zone and don't know anyone else!! Crazy!!!! And another thing Anziano Anderson told me... Its pretty sweet that President trusts you enough to already have a new companion!! I told him how can he even trust me.... he doesn't even know me! And he said, Presidents know because of his first impressions. So I guess that is pretty sweet!! Well nothing else to big going on here except tonight, we have a couple appointments! One with a Meno Attiva a less active, so we will see how it goes!!! Well mom I love you! Tanticimi and I know this work is true! TOUGH BUT TRUE!!! You are the best mom in the world!!!!! I hope you are doing well because as for all my family, I pray for you and dad individually every night as well!!! I hope all is well and I love you lots lots and lots!! Love Anziano Scheurn P.S. I sent pictures let me know if you received them! I LOVE YOU!!!

Lecco #6 The Big Transfer

MOM! OK so wow this transfer has been absolutely nuts! So the last couple weeks we have been just looking and looking and talking and talking to people but just no luck. Man we just try our hardest but nothing. But I know we just need to keep trucking and keep going! Man I really needed conference! It was so amazing. I too went into conference with a question about how I could improve on being a better missionary and sure enough the first talk of priesthood that Neil Anderson gave was perfect for me! He told about how when we are on a mission we don't need to worry about what we can get but what we can give and it just hit me really hard! Its so true and we just need to concentrate on missionary work! I also loved President Uchtdorfs talk about how we want to avoid the 3 DARK Ws. Worry, Worrying and Whining. It is so true we should not worry about the things we cant control but the things we can control! It was seriously an amazing conference! I'm so thankful I could listen to it and to have a Prophet again on the earth to lead and guide us! Man i'm so happy for Rob K! Seriously that is so amazing! Tell him and his family I give them my best wishes and I miss them and they rock! Hmmm look so here is how it went... Last Tuesday it was lunch and we were sitting on our bed studying when all of the sudden our phone started to go off.. And we knew that it was during transfer week but we thought it was to early for President Wolfgramm to call. Sure enough we look and it says President Wolfgramm.. I started to freak out because I was so nervous for what was about to happen.. I picked up and he gave me a nice "Hey Anziano Scheurn, how are you doing with the language", and so on and so forth. By the end he finally said "well I have some news I will be taking away your companion".. I thought to myself what!! My trainer is getting taken away already this is insane! So sure enough Anziano Anderson is leaving to Verona to be a zone leader and I will be staying in Lecco. I will be receiving a new companion who is from Equator but he has lived in Rome for 10 years! Man I was not expecting it at all because Aziano Anderson was sure we would be together for at least one more transfer but nope! Man the Lord is just throwing trials at me but hey I will not give up! Its tough.. really tough but I know that I just need to grow grow grow. Our mission slogan of the the Italy Milan Mission is G.E.M. which means "Grow Every Missionary" and I know that is what I exactly need to do. I just need to keep going and just put one foot in front of the other! Hmm so the work has been tough once again but hey its ok because I know it will get better and also we have another baptism date for the 6th of May which is really really awesome! Her name is Angelica and we have taught her a couple times and she is reading the Book of Mormon and agreed on the baptism date which is sweet!! She is from Peru and sweet! Hmmm so another pretty funny story was we were trying to find some people in a trailer park and sure enough a little wiener dog came up and bit me in the HEE!!. It hurt bad ha-ha but nothing major and ripped my pants but I got them fixed. Man I wanted to just punt this dog into next week but I didn't because it ran away! So How is everything going for you mom? I pray for you every night and I hope all is going well. So the weather here is actually starting to heat up! Its getting probably about 85 or so and it is pretty warm but hey its ok we get to lose the suits on April 14 which is sweet!!! O and I actually have more pictures coming your way that I mailed off today which is sweet! My address in case you don't have it is Via Bovara #1 Lecco, LC 23900 Italia So we will see how this all works out. I know that President Wolfgramm puts a lot of time and effort into where he wants to send his missionaries to what cities so I really just need to put my faith in him and be strong and know that he was inspired of God on where to send us. I LOVE the grandkids so much seriously they are amazing! I'm so blessed and thankful to have a family who is so close in the gospel and have a firm foundation of this gospel because I know we need it in our life and there is no other way!! I have really been pondering and also studying the atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ! I love him so much like words can't even describe and i'm so thankful we have him so we can return and live with our family again after this short time on earth!! Well mom I hope all is well and I love you so much!! And I KNOW!!!!! this church is true because I have seen miracles already! I love love love you and dad so so so so much and everyone and tell Judith I pray for her every night! LOTS of LOVE! Love Anziano Scheurn P.S. You can send the package!! :)
